Education Services
At the Center for Disability Services, we are committed to empowering children with intellectual and physical disabilities to reach their full potential.
Our expert team provides personalized learning experiences tailored to each child’s unique needs. We focus on developing essential skills in language, math, and social skills, as well as creating a nurturing environment where children can thrive. Families are included in the planning process to ensure that every child receives the unique support they need to succeed.
Our classrooms utilize the RAAVE and MOVE educational models and reflect an 8:1:4 or 12:1:6 student to staff ratio accordingly. The cornerstone of our educational curriculum is the common core standards-based aligned Unique Learning System and New-2-You Curriculum. Students are provided differentiated instruction across the Common Core subjects of ELA, Math, Science and Social Studies. Additionally, direct instruction is provided in Interpersonal, ADL, and Prevocational skills. Generalization, communication and motor skill training are integrated in the educational program. Ultimately the primary goals and valued outcomes we desire for our graduates include independence, community inclusion and self-determination
