Chris Schelin is currently the Chief Operating Officer of the Center for Disability Services, leading strategic operational growth across the organization and workforce. Mr. Schelin moved into this role in January 2026, after leading a decade of significant expansion in both the scale and scope of services as the Director of Operations at Commercial Services Mail Fulfillment Center.

Mr. Schelin began his career at the Center in 2000—his first professional role out of college—and has since held leadership positions ranging from Assistant Manager of Clover Patch Camp, Director of Community Based Services, and Director of Operations for the Commercial Services Division.

Mr. Schelin earned his Bachelor’s degree in Education from SUNY Cortland in 2000 and a Master’s degree in Education from The College of Saint Rose in 2004.

Mr. Schelin and his wife Stephanie have one daughter and live in Wilton.

Dennis Riley serves as Director of Finance for Commercial Services, bringing more than 35 years of dedicated service to the organization. He is responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, and invoicing, with a strong focus on maintaining long-term financial stability for programs that create meaningful employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities.

Dennis takes great pride in the lasting impact the Mail Fulfillment Center has had on the individuals it serves.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from St. Bonaventure University and previously worked in public accounting. Outside of work, Dennis enjoys golfing, traveling, and attending concerts.

Alex Demitraszek serves as Assistant Director of Operations, supporting the Center’s print, mail, and fulfillment services. He works with management and production teams to ensure operational quality and customer satisfaction.

He also leads workflow improvements and technology initiatives to enhance efficiency and expand employment opportunities. Alex is continually pursuing new opportunities to strengthen operations and advance the organization’s mission.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in financial economics from Methodist University and has been with the Center for five years. Outside of work, he enjoys skiing, golfing, and spending time with his family.

Ron Patterson serves as Director of Business Development for the Mail Fulfillment Center, bringing extensive experience in both nonprofit and business development. He has spent 15 years working at the Center and more than 35 years supporting development efforts across the organization’s foundation.

Ron focuses on business development and consulting with clients and vendors to strengthen operations and partnerships. Throughout his career, he has remained committed to improving quality of life for individuals with disabilities—whether through creating meaningful employment opportunities or supporting fundraising initiatives aligned with the Center’s mission.

Prior to joining the Center, Ron founded a biomedical company specializing in respiratory products and services. Outside of work, he enjoys golfing and collecting muscle cars.
