Gregory J. Sorrentino
Chief Financial Officer

Greg Sorrentino was appointed the Chief Financial Officer of the Center for Disability Services in July of 2001.  As CFO, he is responsible for the oversight of the financial operations for the agency’s $100+ million operating budget, including: accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, financial reporting, general ledger, payroll, and purchasing.  In addition, Mr. Sorrentino is responsible for oversight of regulatory financial reporting to numerous State and Federal agencies, as well as the primary contact with regulatory agencies regarding financial issues including program development, rate appeals and grants  Mr. Sorrentino is the agency liaison between management and the Audit Committee of the Center’s Governing Board of Directors.

Prior to his current position, Mr. Sorrentino was the Director of Financial Operations, preceded by his role as Assistant Director of Finance of the Center for the Disabled.  In addition to his career at the Center, Mr. Sorrentino was an adjunct faculty member at Sage Colleges Graduate Division for Financial Accounting, in Albany, NY.  He also serves on the Sage Colleges Graduate School Advisory Committee.

Mr. Sorrentino received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Siena College in Loudonville, NY, and his Master of Science degree in Health Services Administration from Sage Graduate School in Albany, NY.

Mr. Sorrentino’s professional licenses include: NYS Certified Public Accountant, and NYS Licensed Nursing Home Administrator.

Mr. Sorrentino has served on various community Boards, including: Christ the King School Board, St. Peter’s Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Our Lady of Mercy Life Center, and St. Margaret’s Center.  He also coaches various sports teams in the Guilderland area.

Mr. Sorrentino and his wife, Sherry, live in Guilderland with their 3 children.
