Karen Macri
Deputy Executive Director of Children Services

Karen Macri was appointed Deputy Executive Director of Children Services of the Center for Disability Services in May of 2001.  Ms. Macri is responsible for the oversight of the agency’s children services for individuals, from birth to 21, with various disabilities and unique medical needs.  Services under her direction include: CloverPatch Early Childhood Services, Kevin G. Langan School, comprehensive evaluations, after school programs, extended school year programs, and day respite.

Prior to her current position, Ms. Macri was the Director of Smith Center Services at the Center for Disability Services. She also held this position prior to the merger of the Center for Disability Services with Residential Opportunities, Inc. (ROI) in 1999.  She began her career as a direct care worker and also held the position of program manager.  Ms. Macri has been with the agency for over 25 years.

Ms. Macri received her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Services from Plattsburgh State University.

Ms. Macri community involvement includes: United Way Community Investment Volunteer and past Guilderland Chamber board member.

Ms. Macri and her husband, John, live in Niskayuna with their 2 daughters.
