Loretta Kuhland, SPHR
Deputy Executive Director, Human Resources

Loretta Kuhland was appointed the Deputy Executive Director of Human Resources of the Center for Disability Services in August of 2004.  In this capacity, she leads and directs a 25-person human resource team and related functions, programs, and projects for the 2,400-employee agency.  Ms. Kuhland and her team partner with programs and support departments on organizational design, compensation, employee relations, recruitment, retention, and staff development.

Prior to joining the Center, Ms. Kuhland was a Managing Director for U.S. Operations for Cushman & Wakefield, Inc., a Global Real Estate Services Firm in New York, NY.  Her 20-year professional career also includes the positions of Vice President of Human Resources and Performance Management for PowerAds.com in Rensselaer, NY; Vice President for Fixed Income & Derivatives Services for Credit Suisse First Boston in New York, NY; and Director of Administration and Human Resources for First Manhattan Consulting Group in New York, NY.
      
Ms. Kuhland received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from State University of New York at Oneonta, and her Master of Arts degree in Sociology of Education from Syracuse University in Syracuse, NY.

Ms. Kuhland is a member of the Society of Human Resources, and is SPHR certified.  She is also a graduate of the Albany-Chamber of Commerce 2006 Capital Leadership Program.
