A shared transportation service for individuals with disabilities

What is VIA?

VIA, Value, Independence, & Accessibility, is a shared transportation service for people with disabilities. Shared service means we may transport other individuals during your ride. VIA provides curb to curb services in fully accessible vehicles for individuals with disabilities.

Trips are by appointment only, Monday through Saturday, between
6 a.m. and 10 p.m. VIA operates in up to 10 counties across urban, suburban, and rural areas of the Capital Region.

All of the accessible vehicles in the VIA fleet are equipped with wheelchair lifts. To assure riders a safe and efficient transportation system, all VIA drivers hold CDL licenses and go through rigorous training, fingerprinting and background checks.

VIA Dispatchers use state of the art technology to map out the most efficient routes in order to minimize travel times.
