In-Home Respite: In-Home Respite is an hourly waiver service where a trained respite staff provides care to an individual with disabilities in their home, while offering respite for his or her family. All eligible individuals must live at home with family members and not in certified sites (IRAs). The staff interacts with the individual either in the home, or out in the community for recreational activities on occasion. In-Home Respite is similar to our at-home residential habilitation, with the exception that it is not goal-oriented, but rather a respite for families and caregivers. In-Home Respite offers the family a break from having to transport their loved one to a site-based respite, since our services are delivered right at home. Offered 7 days a week, our services provide the family with more flexible lengths of respite—ranging from 2 hours to several hours, including overnight. For more information, please call (518) 384-3080.
